5min Journal: The earlier I wake up..

5min Journal: The earlier I wake up..

5 minute timer set. Let’s see what I come up with.

My thoughts this morning are about my wake up routine that I have become obsessed with. Today was a 4:30 wake up. It’s now 5:24 and ive already accomplished my morning poop, on my 2nd coffee, a 10 minute meditation and stretch, and answered a couple of yesterdays messages. I love it.

BUT, some days I have been waking up at 4! And I feel that extra 30 minutes is EVERYTHING. I am addicted to it. I dont feel I have the willpower to wake up at 4 every day, but I used to feel the same about 4:30. I haven’t missed a 4:30 wake up in a while now, except for if I planned it because of sleep schedule maybe when out of town or something.

The early I wake up, the better I feel. I have been really trying to force myself to turn my shit off by 8pm, I USUALLY fail at that but im getting better. Once I do manage to turn my phone off or my TV off, I am out so fast that I cant even remember falling asleep.

Its not all about being productive. I just love the feeling of being up before everyone so I can focus on ME before people start blowing up my phone. By the time 8am comes, Ill be getting endless texts and emails the rest of the day. This is the only time I am free of that.

I could go on and on about this but my timer is up. Its 5:30 and now the plan is catch up on my emails, and work on my athlete schedules for about another hour. Then Ill go for my morning run. I love this routine, its not always easy, but I never regret it when I wake up early vs sleeping in. I almost always feel like garbage when I sleep past the sun.

I really dont believe much good happens after the sun goes down.

If you haven’t tried it, I highly suggest it. Its the only time to get away from the noise if you are in a line of work similar to mine. This is the best time of day.

OK, bye. Reminder, im not proofreading this. Enjoy.

Let me know your thoughts.
