2/19 Journal: Moving day

Good morning,

So the theme of these little mini journaling sessions is to just get random thoughts on “paper”. I set the timer for 10 minutes, and just see where my thoughts take me. Timer set. Please excuse typos, I won’t be proofreading this much.

Today is moving day.

About 6 months ago I bought a condo which I really like except for the fact that it faces a parking lot for the patio. I dont like that. So, I decided to sell the condo, and RENT another condo in the same community, actually same floor plan and everything. The best part about the new one is that it has a FULL city view, which is something I have always wanted.

Some people seem to think its silly that I chose to rent instead of own, but I dont. I dislike owning where I live, I have done both. I do own another condo that is fully paid for, that my mom occupies, but for me, living in my investment is stressful, so I am not doing that anymore for a while.

My plan is once I move into this new rental that has the view I always wanted, I will consider purchasing another property or two for investment purpose.

This will be the 2nd time I have moved in less than a year, it’s a little stressful, but I am ok with this decision. :-)

What else? I dont know. I am on a 77 day run streak, last week ran over 80 miles which is pretty large for me. I am doing lots of diversity and leadership training this month, and next week get to go to Florida with the National Guard Endurance Sports Program.

Currently reading two books. Think and grow rich, and the single dads guide to the galaxy. Im almost done with think and grow rich, and I think it was overrated, there are lots of good points in it, but not as good as it’s been played up to be. I am enjoying the other book a lot though.

I am having one of those days where I dont want to run, but I know I won’t regret it once I do. Ive never regretted a run, ever. I am still aiming for 80-85 miles this week but the week is getting tight between moving, work, and the kiddo, but either way. I will run everyday and keep the streak alive!

10 minute timer is up. Until next time.
